The Land of Smiles
I am now a teacher, standing in the front of the class, 35 Thai children starring back at me, wondering what it is that I am going to teach them. All the mental preparation and advice can not prepare you for the real situation. These kids are 17, and only just respect me, how am I going to keep them excited and teach them the complexities of the English language.
Memories of my school days come flooding back, all those moments when we gave our teacher shit...
I made it this far... from the deepest south, all the way up the peninsula to the capital. Unfortunately I ran out of time and missed out on the north... next time.

Well, I've moved on from Wiangsa, and am now in Phuket. These images are from around and about over the past few weeks.

It’s just after five and I find myself sanding on a dusty roadside in Wiangsa, waiting for the frequent, yet unpredictable public bus. Suddenly it’s rumbling through the intersection and bearing down on me.

Miles turned up and we made the journey to Krabi for a few days before heading out to Ko Samui and Ko Phangan. I made a short detour to Myanmar before returning home.
