Statistics - Census 2006

I worked with Statistics on the 2006 national census. Assigned to block 308 in Wellington, I was responsible for the delivery and collection of individual and dwelling forms. The job required me to work within specific boundaries, locating residents and assigning unique identifiers to forms and a detailed log book. Once all forms had been delivered I then collected them in, checking them off against the entries I had recorded on delivery.

The job required a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. During my time working on this I met an interesting cross section of the central city inhabitants and learnt a good deal about my neighborhood.

This position was attractive to me because of its short duration and flexible hours, allowing me to work on my other projects and offering a obvious conclusion, in the near future.
